My wife, Kim, and our two pups are at home during my XC ride. Kim is an RN at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Fannie is a 13 year old yellow lab. She is slowing down a bit but is still in excellent health for her age. Zoe is an 8 year old Australian Cattle Dog (aka blue heeler) who was dumped off at my farm when she was about six months old. Kim commutes to work by bike about 4 miles round-trip during the summer. We also have a tandem and she has done RAGBRAI once with me. We walk the dogs 1-2 miles twice a day - no matter what the weather is. They expect it. Kim will have her hands full with two dogs while I am gone. She plans to visit me during our rest day in Champaign, Illinois.
